• Paint Pricing. Compare written paint estimates (not verbal promises) regarding the paint project preparation time, quality of materials and number of coats. The lowest paint price is seldom the best price.
• Paint Proposal. A well organized paint proposal will clearly detail all product and work included in the paint job.  This allows both parties to clarify any omissions or misunderstandings. The job proposal speaks volumes.
• Paint References. A paint company should always be able to provide a list of good paint job references.  If possible, drive by recently completed jobs and take a look at the quality of the work.
• Paint Warranty. A reputable painter will stand behind work and offer a written paint warranty. However, if the company goes under the warranty is useless. The stability of the company is as important as the written warranty.
• ​​Paint Insurance. Adequate painting company liability insurance is important for your protection.  Ask to see the paint company certificate of insurance before approving a paint proposal or signing an agreement.
