Painting brick first and foremost is a major decision thus, once you paint brick it is very hard and extremely costly to reverse the process. On that hand it is an almost irreversible decision it will in fact bring extraordinary curb appeal to your freshly painted brick home. As well as a great seal for your brick against rain and or water.

To achieve this with a lasting finish that will not chip or peel. But, first some crucial steps need to take place first. Professional pressure washing is a key and essential step before even preparing the surface of the brick. This step ensures a clean and dirt free environment for which you can thoroughly inspect the damage or chipped areas in the brick or mortar. Fix and fill cracks or holes as needed with caulk or mortar repair kits. After these steps are achieved its time to pick the paint and or primer that best suits the finish and color you are looking for. We personally use Sherwin Williams Loxon with primer as we find it to adhere the best as well as last longer than other paint brands. Now, there are 2 ways to apply the paint to your brick. Most professionals use an airless spray rig as well as a roller to back roll any nooks and crannies that may have been missed by the fine mist of paint with the spray rig. Or if a homeowner would like to do this task themselves we recommend a roller technique with a very thick napped roller.
